Young adults usually face a lot of challenges but
what they don't realise is they have all it takes to overcome them!

What is a life coach for young adults?

My definition of young adults is individuals aged 18 to early thirties. True, young adults were once considered people under the age of 25, but I believe that the age range is now more flexible.

Why do young adults need coaching?

The transition from teenage years to adulthood can often be filled with challenges. Many young adults are concerned about their next steps in life; some are starting down the path to independence, while others want to plan out their future growth. Of course, not all young adults have the same worries, but some of the most typical problems this age group seeks assistance for are:

  • Their transition to independence
  • College degree guidance
  • What to do after college
  • Career guidance
  • Beating procrastination
  • Becoming more productive
  • Handling social relationships
  • Finding an outlet for your interests
  • A desire or need to find their purpose in life as early as possible*
  • Confidence or self-esteem issues
  • Motivation

*On occasion young adults claim that they want to find their life purpose. It’s important to remember that life is a continuous process of self-improvement and evaluation and reevaluation of your core values. You cannot expect to always have a single purpose that you will pursue.

Working with young adults needs careful planning and consideration from a life coach for young adults.

By working together you are expected to:

  • Discover and overcome your limiting beliefs
  • Find out what you are good at and how to put your skills into good use
  • Improve your confidence
Set goals and realistic time frames
  • Get clarity on your future career choices
  • Above all, peel back the many layers of your personality to reveal your true self and be the empowered version of yourself.

How I coped with my transition to adulthood....

Ironically enough, my story of how I became a life coach for young adults has to do with me receiving advice from a career expert while I was in my late teens!

And unfortunately it wasn’t the best advice I could have received. To begin with, the expert’s role was to guide me rather than to give me specific advice on what I should and should not study. On top of that, I felt that only part of my skill set was examined. The thing is I ended up having doubts about whether my college degree was the right choice.

But it wasn’t just that. Even though I had the time of my life at university, I had to deal with my indecisiveness and often felt unsure of what to do next.

Even though I have no major regrets about my decisions, my true passion of becoming a psychologist persisted until I was in my mid-40s, when I decided to return to university and study Psychology.

After many trials and tribulations, different career paths, and many difficult decisions about my job, where to live, and so on, I realized that what I truly want to do is help young adults avoid all of the pitfalls and roadblocks I had to overcome. And give them the right guidance so they don’t have to wait until they’re in their forties (like I did) to decide what they really want to do.

I believe the above demonstrates my willingness to assist young adults as much as possible without imposing my opinion on them, but rather by opening up a world of possibilities for them and lighting the torch that they will carry on their journey.

"I would like to recommend I went to Constantine with a personal attribute issue that was very important to me. The only time I had dared share it, another coach laughed it off as no big deal which caused me internal pain. This was a big deal to me! Since then, I hadn’t felt comfortable sharing it with any other person, especially in a coaching situation.
... Thanks to him and that session, I feel the issue is a non-issue now, or at least fast becoming a non-issue with the skills I’ve learned in dealing with it.
Constantine is the perfect Coach for anyone who needs a mentor, a guide or advocate to help them overcome obstacles keeping them stuck or keeping them from progressing. He is understanding, knowledgeable with plenty of life experience from which to draw upon, dedicated to helping his client achieve their goals, capable and competent in the skills he has worked to learn, is able to discern his clients moods and feelings, and he is so kind, warm, and compassionate! Thank you, Constantine!"

"Constantine did a great job coaching me using the NLP methodology. He was kind, genuine, passionate, and driven. He helped me make a decision that I had a hard time making. He caused me to weigh possible solutions and decide on a path that best fit my goals. I would highly recommend his coaching services."

Yes, I received my primary coaching certifications from the Universal Coach Institution, having attended ICF-accredited live practice sessions and courses. Nevertheless, sometimes in life coaching it is the experience that counts, and I believe that having coached people all over the world has been invaluable. Not to mention that lifelong learning is a prerequisite for life coaching credentials, which is why I keep up to date with the latest research and techniques by attending live workshops, online webinars, and classes. You can read all about my certifications on my About Me page.

Since I have clients from all over the world, I understand how difficult it can be to arrange sessions within different time zones, so I do my best to accommodate all sessions.
